In all honesty, the game was much closer than the final score.

I was a little disappointed in the result but JMU was simply more focused than we were that day. I guess that's what a blowout loss to UNC will do to a proud program like JMU. Plus JMU's goalie was outstanding. If JMU had an average to slightly above average goalie, Tech would've scored 15+ goals vs. them. John Sung is quickly filling the roster with his players. 10 of the 12 starters were Sung's recruits. Sung is recruiting at a high level. He's bringing in more athleticism and size. He's bringing in players who are used to winning championships. I think in 2 years that Tech will be a solid Top 5-10 team with a legitimate chance to play for a NCAA Championship by 2021. I'm saying this because JMU won it all last season and BC finished #2 and is ranked #1 right now. My biggest concern is that Sung's success at Tech will garner lots of attention from schools with more resources than us. I'm sure that AD's from many schools will be asking Whit Babcock for permission to talk to Sung after the regular season ends.
